Bringing Children … to CWE!

By Naomi Corera, September 9, 2025

Nicholas cannot walk on his feet because of their deformity and his legs are always in a recoil position He gets around in a wheelchair, transported on a scooter, or is carried by a friend. So, we traveled to Kampala for a medical consultation.

The children and I sang at the Uganda Martyrs Church to help raise money for Nicholas’ medical care and treatment (TBD).

Nicholas cannot walk on his feet and has always “walked” pulling himself forward and dragging his knees to get around. He shows how he “comes forward.”

While Nicholas and I were in Kampala, we met Niwdmdnya John and his mother, who had come for a replacement prosthetic for his leg, which was long overdue, because he had grown. The NGO who had helped them before, was no more.

So, of course, Children Waiting Everywhere was now seeing a child waiting. We had to help!

That is how God works! Bringing children … to CWE!

In the video below, we see Niwdmdnya John who is in grade 4, write his name. John has overcome his physical challenges and writes clearly and beautifully holding the pen given him by Joanne.

Niwdmdnya John does everything himself.

He puts his new prosthetic into his shoe and takes his first walk!

Niwdmdnya John takes a walk with his new prosthetic – he will need a new pair of shoes!

Yay, Niwdmdnya John!

We stand together with his “new” prosthetic which will help him get around much better than the one he had outgrown. Thank you supporters of Children Waiting Everywhere who help me find the children who need our help. God Bless You.

And Niwdmdnya John with his mother and me. – A happy ending – and beginning….
